I specialise in histology, the study of human disease. Another speciality is cytology- which looks at cells instead of tissue as a whole. Together this is known as cellular pathology

To become a senior scientist in my Area one much do a MSc- so whilst I worked I did my study over two years- one day a week out of work to attend lectures the rest in my own time. Once I got my degree I was able to apply for a promotion and become a senior.
