      This is a good question and we are not sure why we close our eyes when we sneeze. It is thought not to have a practical reason but to be due to the eyes and nose sharing similar nerve connections so when you sneeze it stimulates the nerves going to the eyelids causing them to close.

      We do close our eyes when we sneeze because it is a REFLEX.
