• Question: Which part of the reproductive system do you prefer in a flower?

      I like the Stigma because it looks really cool under a high powered microscope. It has lots of sticking out bits like hairs on its end that help catch the pollen.

      I would say I prefer the petals, as they are the things which induce the mechanism of reproduction, by inviting the pollenaters in. Also they are colourful.

      I like Stamens, which are the male reproductive parts of flowers.

      A stamen consists of an anther (which produces pollen) and a filament. The pollen consists of the male reproductive cells; they fertilize ovules.
