• Question: Which organ have you bisected which has poured out the most blood?

      Oohhhhhhh good question!
      Well- when I get a specimen they are fixed in a solution called formaldehyde so the blood isn’t very runny. Sometimes when we get big organs in they may still be “fresh” and bloody- the kidneys are often quite bloody. But they don’t pour, but your hands get bloody (which is why we always wear gloves and clean our hands!!)
      But in terms of pouring stuff out- when I dissect a gallbladder sometimes lots of bile pours out everywhere!
