There are lots of jobs involving science that don’t actually require you to do experiments (if that’s what you mean?). For example you could be a science writer or a science teacher at a school.
There are many jobs in science that do not involve doing research.
Our research is expensive and often we get money from charities and the government. Charities need people to help raise money for them. Both also need people to decide how the money is spent. The government have lots of people working in “science policy” working out the spending on science as well as the rules and laws about how it is done properly.
There are lots of technical staff that we rely on to keep the places where we do science going! Administrative staff, lab managers, cleaners and security.
There are lots of jobs involving writing about science too. Newspapers have science journalists and editors. We publish our science in journals – a bit like magazines – which have lots of people working for them preparing the articles to publish.
There are many jobs where you don’t do research in science, you are still counted as a scientist as you are still in a scientific field.
You can work as a science consultant for a company, you can do something clinical, you can work within the oil industry, Engineering, or even patent law.
Many jobs are available for people with science background like….Medical/technical writing, Science journalism, Teaching, Technology Transfer, Manufacturing Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) etc
