      Dear Chloeee,

Good Question, In my graduation, my major subjects are Microbiology, Biochemistry and Chemistry. In my plus two (after 10th standard) itself I have special interest towards biology and human life events. Later, during my graduation, I have to study 3 major subjects: Microbiology, Biochemistry and Chemistry. Among these three subjects, I love to read and learn biochemistry since it deals with the chemistry of events of our day to day life, how will you get energy after taking food? What happens to food after entering into our body and finally gives energy? etc.

Also, another factor which made me to choose biochemistry is…..”The DNA double helix model invented by two scientists – WATSON & CRICK”, since they unveiled that just 4 chemical compounds, ADENINE, GUANINE, THYMINE & CYTOSINE are responsible for everything of life. without DNA, there is NO LIFE exists. That’s why I used to call DNA as “CHEMISTRY OF LIFE”.
This is the major force for me to choose BIOCHEMISTRY.

Hope I have answered your question to your satisfaction.

      Regards & Best Wishes,

      Dr. Mohan
