There are tumours called “benign tumours” which don’t invade into the healthy cells around them. These are usually not harmful unless they are pressing against something else.
For the “malignant” tumours – ones that invade into the cells around them, it depends on if the cancer is caught early enough. Cancers such as some skin cancers and testicular and breast cancer can be effectively cured by removing the cancer part with surgery. But it is important to catch these early enough, if they are left to develop then they would be very harmful.
I agree with john- a benign tumour would be the least harmful- something like a lipoma under your arm.
But the least harmful cancer is the earliest detected cancer- that’s why it is important to check breasts and testicles for lumps regularly, make sure girls have their cervical smear tests done and for older ladies to have breast screening. If you have a cough for more than four weeks one should go to the doctor and if there’s blood in your poo etc.
