      Hi, thanks for your questions.

      Firstly, the largest part of the brain are the two cerebral hemispheres that make up the cerebrum. This is the large squiggy pinkish bit that sits on top of the brain stem. It is responsible for senses of smell, sight as well as movement, memory and talking.

      The tonsils are part of our lymphatic system, this is needed to help look out for signs of infection that our body’s immune system can then fight against. The tonsils are thought to trap bacteria and viruses that we breath in, but their exact role is unclear.
