When someone smokes, a lot of smoke is also given off into the surroundings and so if a parent smokes a lot around their child, the child would also be breathing in smoke and causing damage to their lungs.

Like Catherine said- excess smoke from cigarettes will still be around the room if a person smokes around their child. This child would then be passively smoking- ie breathing in excess smoke. It’s not as harmful as smoking but it can still be unhealthy for the child and cause illness.

It will effect the child very drastically than the SMOKER (Parent); this effect is called as: PASSIVE SMOKING; this is as good as SMOKING
