According to the UK charity Cancer Research UK, there are around 200 different types of cancer. There are more types of cancer than there are organs in the body, this is because it is possible to get different types of cancer in the same organ! For example there are two very different main types of cancer that can occur in the lung as well as one which affects the lining of the lung.
