I’m not in the feild of research so I am unable to answer that part of the question.
But there are LOTS of diseases that humans can get in their organs- some are easily cured, some not so.
Bacteria and virus can cause disease in organs such as hepatitis or MRSA. Our own bodies can cause diseases to our organs- “autoimmune disease” such as diabetes or lupus.
Sometimes our bodies get diseased with what we eat and we can’t process things properly like irritable bowel disease.
Mutations can cause various disease as well factors such as obesity, smoking and sun damage . There are lots of diseases organs can be affected- but luckily we have lots of treatments for them!!!

As cancer is the uncontrolled growth of normal cells in your body and organs are made up of cells, you can get cancer in any of your organs. There are over 200 types of cancer but thanks to some excellent research we can cure some of these cancers. I hope we can find out more about the more aggressive cancers such as lung cancer, so that we can treat them better.
