      Yes, the main stain I use at work is heamatoxylin and eosin stain
      The heamatoxylin stains the nucleus dark purple and the eosin stains the rest of the cell pink- it’s very pretty.
      But there are other stains that can be used to diagnose certain a diseases- for example a Ziehl-Neesen stain stain TB bacteria pink with a blue background, a Grocott stain can identify fungus and it’s a nice black and green stain.
      A gram Stan can tell you if a bacteria is positive or negative by staining them blue or red.
      Staining is very pretty!!
