• Question: do some organs need other organs to help them work?

      Yes! Some organs are very dependent on each other, whereas others can function quite well by themselves.
      One example of organs that are dependent on each other would be the heart and the kidneys. To function well the kidneys require a constant blood pressure, and blood pressure is produced by the beating of the heart. The kidneys also release chemicals into the blood which affects the hearts function and helps it to control blood pressure.

      Yes, for example the heart and lungs are very closely linked. The body needs oxygen which the lungs take in from the air, but they need the red blood cells to carry the oxygen and the heart to pump that blood around the body. The heart is a big muscle and muscles need energy, to make this energy they need oxygen as well as other molecules. So the heart too depends on the lungs. If one fails then the other can be put under too much pressure and fail as well.

      Yes, in really to work well all organs need each other. There are no useless organs in the body, there are just organs which are used less. All organs need the heart and lungs pretty much for oxygen and blood transport.
