radiation can mutate and alter our DNA- this can cause mutations where the cells divide and grow uncontrollably, this can lead to tumours and cancer.

Radiation can also be very useful in small doses to Xray our bones to look for breaks. It can also be used to treat Cancer by focusing the radiation on the cancer cells to damage their DNA so much that they die!
