• Question: Sorry if this feels like im spamming you. This will be the last thing I ask. Which creature has the biggest heart, which creature has the smallest, and which creature is most vulnerable to heart disease.

      The size of the heart depends on the size of the animal. The blue whale is the largest animal and also has the largest heart, in fact it’s heart can be as big as a car!
      Insects will have very small hearts because insects are so small, but insect hearts are very different to hearts found in humans and other mammals. Insect hearts are more like a simple tube which contracts whereas mammals have hearts with 4 chambers which are more structured and organized.
      Which is most vulnerable to heart disease? I’m not really sure, I don’t think anyone has investigated that before.
